Apple TV+ cancelled and renewed shows in 2025 reflect the platform’s evolving lineup. The streaming service has doubled down on proven hits while saying goodbye to others. This year, Apple confirmed eight renewals and two cancellations, with one show preparing for its final season.

Among the biggest renewals, Invasion secured a third season, proving its strong sci-fi appeal despite mixed reviews. Other returning series include Sugar, Criminal Record, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, all of which will expand their storylines into new chapters. Murderbot continues with a second season, while fan-favorite comedy Trying moves forward with a fifth season. These decisions highlight Apple’s focus on maintaining a balance between fresh drama, genre storytelling, and lighthearted content.

Not all shows survived. Mythic Quest, which once defined Apple’s early comedy slate, has ended after four seasons. Meanwhile, The Big Door Prize bowed out after two seasons despite its intriguing premise. Industry watchers note that Apple appears willing to trim underperforming titles to strengthen its lineup.

According to reports, Apple TV+ has also identified certain shows heading for a final run, signaling a strategy of controlled exits rather than abrupt cancellations. This approach gives creators the chance to wrap up storylines and maintain audience trust.

These renewal and cancellation moves arrive as Apple TV+ continues to compete with bigger platforms like Netflix and Disney+. By betting on sci-fi expansions, crime dramas, and character-driven comedies, Apple shows that it values depth over sheer volume. With audiences tightening their streaming budgets, curated programming becomes critical.

The full list of Apple TV+ cancelled and renewed shows in 2025 underscores how the service refines its identity. Renewed titles keep momentum, while cancellations make room for riskier projects. The streaming wars demand constant reinvention, and Apple is playing a long-term game with carefully selected series.
