Apple is set to preview its 2026 software updates at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the updates will be relatively modest. In his “Power On” newsletter, Gurman mentioned that iOS 27 will feature improvements to Apple Intelligence. However, WWDC will likely be “a fairly muted affair” this year.
Personalized Siri and Platform Enhancements
The headline feature will be a more personalized Siri, with a chatbot interface. This was previously rumored and will likely be the main focus. However, most updates will target performance, bug fixes, and design fine-tuning.
Gurman also noted that developers will receive the first beta version of iOS 26.4 during the week of February 23. This beta will include some of the anticipated updates to Siri, though more significant changes will arrive later.
When to Expect WWDC 2026 Software Updates
WWDC 2026 will likely be announced by the end of March. The event is expected to occur in early June. After the keynote address, developers will likely gain access to the updates in beta immediately. Public releases should follow in the fall, in line with Apple’s usual schedule.
Although the updates at WWDC 2026 may not introduce groundbreaking features, they will refine Apple’s software ecosystem. These updates will continue to improve user experiences across devices, preparing for future innovations.
