The Apple iMac “M4″ 8 CPU/8 GPU/2 Ports 24” is the newest addition to Apple’s vibrant all-in-one desktop lineup, launched in late 2024. Equipped with a high-efficiency 8-core Apple M4 chip and a sleek 4.5K Retina display, this machine merges powerful performance with a stylish, minimal design that fits both home and creative professional environments.

With upgraded RAM, GPU enhancements, and a vivid new color palette, this iMac not only improves over its M3 predecessor—it redefines the entry-level Mac experience.

Enhanced Apple M4 Performance

Powered by the Apple M4 processor, the iMac delivers a clock speed of approximately 4.4 GHz. The chip integrates 4 performance cores, 4 efficiency cores, and an 8-core GPU, making it well-suited for daily productivity, light video editing, and photo design.

Its 16-core Neural Engine accelerates AI-based tasks like voice recognition, smart photo editing, and real-time video effects. The 120 GB/s memory bandwidth ensures responsive multitasking and fast access to memory-intensive applications.

Striking 4.5K Retina Display

The iMac features a 23.5-inch Retina 4.5K display, offering a 4480×2520 resolution and a pixel density of 218 PPI. True Tone and P3 wide color support deliver exceptional color fidelity, while 500 nits brightness ensures clarity in any lighting condition.

Media capabilities are equally impressive, including a 12MP Center Stage webcam, three-mic array, and a six-speaker sound system with Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio support—perfect for video calls or entertainment.

Unified Memory and Storage Configurability

Apple includes 16 GB of unified RAM soldered to the motherboard. While non-upgradable after purchase, users can configure it to 24 GB at checkout. The default 256 GB SSD can also be configured up to 1 TB, offering plenty of space for local media and applications.

Connectivity and Design

The iMac includes two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 6E for the latest wireless standards. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is located on the left edge of the display. Gigabit Ethernet is available optionally via the power brick for an additional cost.

Its aluminum chassis is only 5.8 inches deep and comes in seven color options. The Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse are color-matched by default, with premium upgrade options for Touch ID and trackpad functionality.

Who Should Use This iMac?

  • Students & Home Users: Seamless performance and beautiful design make this a great fit for studying, browsing, or media consumption.
  • Content Creators: Its color-accurate display and efficient GPU provide an entry point for editors, illustrators, and musicians.
  • Professionals & Remote Workers: With reliable connectivity and top-tier AV tools, it’s ideal for office work and virtual meetings.

Comparison to Previous Models

Compared to the M3 iMac:

  • Faster CPU/GPU combination
  • Higher base memory (16 GB vs 8 GB)
  • Improved webcam with Desk View
  • Brighter, bolder case colors

It delivers noticeable real-world performance improvements while maintaining the same compact and functional form.
