Apple has officially rolled out iOS 26.2.1 and iPadOS 26.2.1, offering minor updates for compatible iPhones and iPads. The update comes just a month after iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2, bringing with it support for the next-generation AirTag.
The highlight of iOS 26.2.1 is the addition of support for AirTag 2, which now comes equipped with a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, enhancing the Precision Finding feature. This upgrade improves the device’s ability to locate lost items with greater accuracy, making the experience even more seamless for users.
Along with the AirTag 2 support, the update also includes various bug fixes, although Apple has not specified which bugs have been addressed in this release.
For users with older iPhones, Apple has also released updates for previous iOS versions, including iOS 18.7.4, iOS 16.7.13, iOS 15.8.6, and iOS 12.5.8, for devices that cannot run iOS 26.
