The Apple iPhone 17 series, despite being only a few months old, is already receiving price cuts as retailers kick off their January sales. Among the standout offers is a fantastic deal from EE, where the iPhone 17 Pro is available at its lowest price yet.
Currently priced at £32.29 per month, the iPhone 17 Pro can be paired with EE’s 150GB Essentials tariff, which has dropped from £37 to £29 per month—resulting in a £192 saving over 24 months. This plan costs £61.29 per month plus an upfront payment of £30. However, EE offers customers up to £480 when they trade in an old handset, adding even more value to the deal.
Some EE tariffs come with additional perks such as unlimited data, along with Apple TV or Apple Music subscriptions for a small extra cost. For example, the Unlimited All Rounder for iPhone costs £13 more per month. It’s important to note that EE’s contracts include an annual price rise; for instance, the £29 airtime plan will increase to £31.50 in April 2026 and £34 by April 2027.
On the other hand, Sky Mobile’s January sale offers the iPhone 17 Pro for £34 per month with a £12 upfront cost. However, this plan comes with only a 100MB data allowance, which may not suffice for heavier users. For those who need more data, Sky provides a range of options, including 1GB for £5 up to unlimited data for £22.
Both EE and Sky Mobile are offering the iPhone 17 Pro in the 256GB model, available in Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue, and Silver. For those who prefer to buy outright, the iPhone 17 Pro is priced similarly across most retailers, with Amazon and Argos charging £1,099.
Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro is hailed as the most powerful smartphone the brand has ever produced, featuring a 6.3” display, the A19 Pro chip, a 48MP camera, and impressive battery life. Technology expert David Snelling, who reviewed the phone at its California launch in September, awarded it a five-star rating, calling it a game-changer. He noted significant improvements in processing speed, with the A19 Pro chip being 50% faster than the iPhone 15 Pro’s A17 Pro, making it incredibly fast. The enhanced camera system with three 48MP lenses, including main, telephoto, and ultra-wide, is one of the standout features, delivering superb shots and videos.
The ProMotion display also shines with its 120Hz refresh rate, better anti-reflection for outdoor viewing, and a longer battery life, which ensures the device lasts all day. While the iPhone 17 Pro is an upgrade from previous models, it now starts at £1,099, £300 more than the regular iPhone 17. The iPhone Air might also entice those looking for a slimmer alternative, though it’s more expensive, and the iPhone 17 has received significant upgrades this year.
